Resources

Organizations:

1) Physicians for a National Health Program is our parent organization. Their web page for Frequently Asked Questions  is an excellent source of information for almost any question you might have about single payer healthcare.

2) Healthcare NOW! is an education and advocacy organization that addresses the health insurance crisis in the U.S. by advocating for the passage of national, single-payer healthcare legislation. They see healthcare as a human right, not a privilege tied to the ability to pay. They have excellent handouts and other resource materials.

3) Leadership Conference for Guaranteed Health Care (LCGHC) is the national alliance for single payer healthcare reform – publicly funded, privately delivered healthcare for all. They are a coalition of groups promoting comprehensive reform legislation to guarantee health care for all Americans as a basic human right.
